Saturday Squash

So today I decided to try "Spaghetti Squash." For those who are unaware of this item, it is basically a squash that turns into strands when you bake it, kinda like spaghetti. Anyhow, during this season a typical Spaghetti Squash costs about 1.49 a LB....I bought two they came out to be about 7ish dollars.

 

Anyways my opinion about the taste, and other attributes of the "squash." I would say it is pretty inexpensive, but during the spring season it is hard to find, but the grocery stores usually stock up every other week.. I think the taste is okay, it is not disgusting, but it is not to DIE for. Another con about this is, it takes forever to bake. 45 minutes!!! yeeeee I rather make a salad that would take 10 seconds. 

This is how I made my squash after I baked it and stuff. 

My parents grilled yesterday so I just took some grilled meat, with parsley, green onions and one lemon. I also zested the lemon. Then I added 1/4 of the Spaghetti Squash to this mixture. It was okay. Alhamdulliah.



It looks weird, the taste of it tastes like a ummmm crunchy vegetable. A more descriptive way of explaining this would be if you shredded squash and steamed it. LOL. I would rate the taste at about 3 out of 10 but food to me is for energy not for enjoyment. LOL.
