Its summer now, so inshallah I will be updating my blog more often. I just had grilled chicken, and this amazing salad called Cabbage Crunch. Basically it is cole slaw without the "extra" fatty calories, and the creamy taste. I came across this salad at Whole Foods. There are a lot of recipes for Cabbage Crunch, but so many of them are unhealthy. Below is the recipe I used.
Recipe
Solid Foods:
1 bag of Angel Hair Cabbage
Dressing
1/3 cup of Raw Honey
1/3 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
Salt for Tasting
What I would change-
I prefer sweeter dressing on salads so I would add more honey, just a little. Additionally, I added half of a 1/3 cup of vinegar to make the dressing more watery (this is up to you). You can add almonds, and other stuff to the cabbage salad, but make sure to watch your calorie count. You don't want to end up with a 1,200 calories salad because you didn't manage the "extras" on your salad. This makes about two full meals well at least for me).

How to Drink 19 cups of Water in 7 hours

Salam, Hola, What's up!
I hope everyone enjoyed my last post about the squash. Anyways so today I was super proud of myself because I managed to drink 150 oz of water, which equates to almost 19 cups. So here are some intresting fact about water and dieting.
- If you drink water you are less likely to consume a drink that has a lot of calories
- Drinking more water can boost your metabolism, and increase weightloss results
- According to Shape magazine studies tell us that most Americans drink about 2 liters of total beverages per day, but less than a quarter comes from water.-- an average female that is 19 and above needs about 2.7 liters of fluid a day
- The magazine also indicated that a A recent study found that adults who simply gulped two cups of water before meals enjoyed a major weight loss benefit – they shed 40 percent more weight over a 12 week period while following a low cal plan identical to a second group of dieters.
How do you increase the amount of water you drink!
- We all have super busy schedules, I usually go to school from 9 a.m to 7p.m, so I have a long day.
1. Get a 32 oz cup, water bottle, I usually stop by quick trip and get an un sweet tea, so I just refill the cup with water the rest of the day! It is easier to consume more water from a cup that has as straw, at least I think so.
2. Have access to a water fountain, and just refill whenever your done.
3. Try to drink a 32 oz cup every 1.5 hours!! then you will reach the goal!! YOU CAN DO IT!

- If you don't like plain water you can try sugar free green tea, or any sugar free iced tea. You can also try the 0 calories mixer things. I love Pineapple Papaya Iced tea or Peach Iced tea. The teas with the sugars have about 80 calories per cup, so if you are watching your calories then I don't think that is the best option.
